The 39-year-old has not had a race win since the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and has been struggling this season as well. With a move to Ferrari for 2025, Hamilton has high hopes of winning a record eighth drivers championship, given the rising performance of Ferrari.

If Ferrari can give Lewis a competitive car, he can win a world championship, there's no doubt about it.
Toto Wolff said to the PA news agency.

Mercedes is currently the fourth fastest team on the grid behind Red Bull, Ferrari, and McLaren. As the season progresses, the German team will look to improve their race pace and their performance with the W15, in the hopes of providing Hamilton with one last chance at glory with his beloved team of the last 11 years.

There are a lot of individuals within HPP [Mercedes High Performance Powertrains] who have so much experience with this future technology. I think that leaves us in a really great place to have a great engine. And the work [Mercedes fuel and lubricant partner] Petronas are doing on the fuel as well is looking really strong. So, on the engine side, I think we’re feeling very confident for that era.
George Russell said at the Monaco Grand Prix.

Mercedes have struggled to be at their dominant best since the start of the 2022 season, with only one win to their name in two years. However, with the upcoming onset of the new regulations, Mercedes stands confident in their ability to manufacture a better engine and better aerodynamics for their car.

The Brackley-based team continues to work and analyze their hindrances in the W15 in an attempt to fight for better points and podiums. The upcoming races of the season will test the work put in by the team as they look for their first race win of the 2024 campaign.
