Max Verstappen clinched his seventh victory of the season at the Spanish GP with Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton completing the top 3. During the press conference, Norris joked that he allowed Verstappen space, on turn 1 at the start of the race.

Lando Norris while talking to the media in the press conference reflected on the incident with a laughing tone. He mentioned there was enough space for Max Verstappen to attempt to overtake him at turn 1. The McLaren driver added that he was focused on racing ensuring enough space for Verstappen to stay on the track, which sparked laughter from Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

This situation created a laughter-filled atmosphere among everyone present. Maybe because Lando Norris thought he had given Verstappen enough space, but there wasn’t sufficient space, and yet Verstappen managed to pass Norris. This situation promoted the three time champion to start laughing again.

During the press conference, when the reporter asked Verstappen, that whether Norris gave him enough space. The Dutchman replied playfully, that he knows what Norris’s birthday present will be, either a big mirror or some glasses. This humorous comment from the 26-year-old sparked laughter once again among those present in the press conference.

Max Verstappen made it clear that he believed there wasn’t enough space, while Norris thought there was. So, Verstappen joked that Norris should use these gifts as side mirrors for his McLaren. Suggesting Norris should check next time whether there’s enough space on the track.

Verstappen continued ahead, stating that racing was certainly challenging, and he didn’t want to blame Norris for his actions. He added that he would have done the same if he were in Norris’s place. Lewis Hamilton commented that the Dutchman had completely gone off the track. Verstappen admitted he didn’t realized he was on the grass as he was focusing on Lando Norris.

I mean it's hard racing for sure, if you turn it around i would've done the same thing, I didn't noticed I was out of the track on the grass.

Certainly, Lando Norris created a laughter environment during the press conference because he reckoned there was enough space for Verstappen to stay on the track.
