Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are arch-rivals in Formula 1. The two drivers went head-to-head for the 2021 F1 world championship. However, the origins of this rivalry trace back a few seasons. The 2018 Bahrain GP was a prominent race that further planted the seeds for the clashes between Hamilton and Verstappen. So much so, that the British driver resorted to cursing the latter as a “d*ckhead” after the race.
The Grand Prix saw Lewis Hamilton and Verstappen battling it out in the first few laps. On Lap 2 of the race, the pair were fighting for tenth place, after Hamilton dropped down the order. The Red Bull tried to overtake the Mercedes down the main straight. Subsequently, the two went wheel-to-wheel into turn 1. This, of course, did not go well.
Max Verstappen made contact with Lewis Hamilton. Although, the Dutchman was able to pass the Mercedes for an instant. Unfortunately, Verstappen was down on luck as he got a puncture on the rear-left tire. Consequently, Lewis swiftly passed the Red Bull. This put an end to Max’s race as he was forced to retire the car. At the same time, Hamilton managed to finish P3.
