Vlahovic’s impact on AFC Fiorentina:
Since joining the club in 2018, the Serbian sensation has been an instrumental figure in the dressing room and on the pitch for the club. He has played 92 league games since joining the club and has scored 39 league goals during that time with most of them coming in 2020/21 and 2021/22.
The young striker had 10 appearances in the Serie A for AFC Fiorentina in 2018/19 and failed to score in any of the games. It was his first season in a new country so it was understandable he needed time to adjust.
In his second season with the club in 2019/20, the now 21 year old played 30 league games scoring 6 times. He also played 4 games for the club in Coppa Italia that season and recorded 2 goals. It was evident the wonderkid was settling in well in a new environment and was improving gradually.
It was in 2020/21 where Vlahovic really hit off the mark. The young sensation played 37 league games and scored 21 league goals for the Italian club, becoming their top scorer for the campaign. He also recorded 3 assists in the league that season. The Serbian played the Coppa Italia 3 times that season too but failed to score in any of those games.
This season, the wonderkid has continued his hot run by already scoring 12 goals in his first 15 league games for the La Viola. He has also recorded 2 assists to his name this season. The Serbian has played just once in the Coppa Italia this season but he has already scored 2 goals.
To put everything into context, the 21 year old has scored 28 times in 39 league appearances since December 2020. He is the youngest player to score 20 league goals for the La Viola in a single season since the legendary striker Gabriel Batistuta.
Dusan Vlahovic is on a mission:

In 2021, the only 2 players in Europe’s top five leagues to have scored more goals than the Serbian’s 25 goals are Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich and Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund.
Vlahovic is also only one of three players aged under 25, along with Haaland and Mbappe, who have scored 20 times in the calendar year to date.
The Serbian striker is strong in the air and loves to shield the ball due to his physical ability. This season, he has been the most fouled player in Serie A and is in the top 3 for the most aerial duels won. Last season, he was the only player to win more than 250 aerial duels.
The young Serbian striker has already suggested he will not sign a new contract with the Italian club and he is said to be keen to move to another league. Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are said to be keeping an eye on him. We do not know where he will end up going, but one thing that is certain is that he will be seen in a new club very soon with his rising talent.
