Football pundit Alan Shearer praises Manchester United midfielder after Red Devil's 3-0 Premier League victory over Nottingham Forrest.
Casemiro in action for Manchester United
Brazilian sensation Casemiro produced a masterclass against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. Manchester United thrashed Forest 3-0 at Old Trafford in their first League game after the international break. Despite not being on the scoresheet, Casemiro stole the man-of-the-match award after being the most influential for the Red Devils on the pitch.
Premier League legend and football pundit Alan Shearer praised the midfielder for his performance yesterday. “He is different class and makes everything look effortless. As I said, his tackle in the first half [in the build-up to Martial’s goal], his ability to read the game and see pictures before everyone else does…he’s a class act.”
Goals from Marcus Rashford, Antony Martial, and Fred helped United cruise past Nottingham. Although, Casemiro‘s presence in the game impressed the fans the most. Most notably, he made an outstanding tackle to retrieve the ball from the Forest player and passed it to Bruno Fernandes, who provided Rashford with a pin-point through-ball which set United’s second goal.
Casemiro keeps proving he is worth $70 million, as the defensive midfielder has been putting in concrete performances for the club since he joined. The 5-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid is aiming big with the Premier League giants. The Brazilian has been instrumental for Erik ten Hag. He even played as a center-back against Burnley last week in the Carabao cup.

Is Casemiro the best CDM of this generation?
Many fans would argue, but it won’t be wrong to say that Casemiro is one of the greatest players of this generation in his position. Only players like Sergio Busquets would come close to the former Real Madrid player regarding achievements. He is known for his bold attitude on the pitch.
Casemiro is the kind of midfielder who is excellent at reading the game. The 30-year-old sensation is a menace for the opponents at both ends of the pitch. Although, he can contribute more to the team’s defense than going forward. He is one of the most decorated footballers of this generation as well. Casemiro has won 5 UEFA Champions League titles with Real Madrid.
Despite his defensive abilities, it will be unjust to say that Casemiro doesn’t get involved in attacks. He scored an exquisite volley for Brazil against Switzerland at the 2022 FIFA World Cup to seal all the 3 points for his country. Do you think he could finally bring back the glory days at Old Trafford?
