Following his departure from Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Saudi Pro League team Al Nassr. He is expected to make an astounding £173 million each term.
Cristiano Ronaldo shifted to Saudi Arabia with his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, and their five kids after agreeing to an agreement with Al-Nassr. The fact that the couple is not yet wedded means that if they live together in the nation, they will be breaching the law in Saudi Arabia.
By cohabitating in Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo and his longstanding lover Georgina Rodriguez are expected to defy the law. Although it is against Saudi law for two people of the opposite gender to live together if they are not married, Ronaldo and Georgina aren’t likely to face any consequences from the government.
He arrived in Riyadh’s Saudi capital by private plane this week before getting formally introduced as Al Nassr’s largest-ever acquisition. In the unveiling, members of Ronaldo’s clan were also invited onto the field at Al Nassr’s Mrsool Park. According to SPORT, quoting an EFE statement, Ronaldo, one of the world’s most renowned players, is expected to be cleared off the leash. Two Saudi lawyers believe the appropriate agencies will refrain from prosecuting the dynamic duo.
One person stated: “Although the laws still prohibit cohabitation without a marriage contract, the authorities have begun to turn a blind eye and do not persecute anyone. Of course, these laws are used when there is a problem or a crime,”. Another lawyer added, “The Saudi Arabian authorities, today, do not interfere in this matter [in the case of foreigners]. Still, the law continues to prohibit cohabitation outside of marriage,”.
