Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr contract revealed: How many euros will the Portuguese legend earn in a month, hour, and second?

Cristiano Ronaldo achieved a milestone on Friday when he completed his move to Al Nassr FC in Saudi Arabia, one month after his high-profile departure from Manchester United. Al Nassr announced the news on their Twitter account, posting pictures of the 37-year-old holding a jersey with his name and number. The agreement will last until 2025.

Cristiano Ronaldo agreed on a record-breaking contract worth €200 million per annum, the highest of its kind in the world of football. Broken down, this means he will be paid €16.67 million each month, €3.888 million each week, €555,555 every day, €23,150 per hour, €386 per minute, and €6.5 per second. To put this into perspective, when he played for Manchester United, his salary was €22 million annually, equating to roughly €430,000 per week. So in one day, he earns more than he used to in one week at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo’s association with the Old Trafford club was brought to an end after he made some contentious comments on a television show before the commencement of the FIFA World Cup 2022. Not only did Ronaldo reprimand United’s coach Erik ten Hag, but he also publicly criticized the club in an interview with British talk show host Piers Morgan, leading to the severance of his contract in England.

Al Nassr’s announcement of Cristiano Ronaldo’s signing

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has taken his football career in a new direction, joining Al Nassr for a two-and-a-half-year contract until 2025. His decision to leave European football was solidified after his Manchester United contract was mutually terminated last month following a candid interview with Piers Morgan. Ronaldo was eager to join a top European team, but that did not come to fruition. Now, the 37-year-old is heading to Saudi Arabia to compete as a player of Al Nassr.

The transfer announcement was made on Instagram, where the club posted a caption confirming the signing with a caption “This is more than history in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls, to be the best version of themselves. Welcome @cristiano to your new home @alnassr_fc.”

The all-time leader in goals scored in Europe’s biggest club competition, the UEFA Champions League, is now continuing his career on a different continent. Over the years, Ronaldo has played for Sporting CP, Manchester United (twice), Real Madrid, and Juventus in Europe.
