“He isn’t human; Brute force scoring power”- Fans go crazy as Erling Haaland’s hat-trick sends Manchester City to FA Cup semis
This is Haaland's sixth hat-trick of the season
Manchester City wreaked havoc at the Etihad Stadium as they thrashed Burnley 6-0 in the FA Cup Quarterfinals. Erling Haaland was yet again on the scoresheet as the Norweigan scored his sixth hat-trick of the season.
In what was supposed to be a homecoming game for Burnley boss Vincent Kompany, it turned out to be a night of gloom for the Belgian. Although the Championship leaders were decent in the first half hour, they could not muster the strength to keep Manchester City’s ruthless attack at bay.
After the first half hour stayed goalless, City suddenly burst into life as Haaland poked Alvarez’s through ball into the back of the net. And just three minutes later, Haaland scored yet again as he curled in Phil Foden’s low cross from short range.
In the second half, Haaland scored in the 59th minute to complete his hat trick as he tapped in Phil Foden’s rebounded shot off the post. Three minutes later, Alvarez got his name on the scoresheet as he scored off of Kevin De Bruyne’s assist.
The Belgian maestro was at his best as he assisted the Argentine later on in the game for his brace with a delicious through ball to make it 6-0 after Cole Palmer had scored one for himself. It was a truly merciless performance as City cruised through to the semifinals of the FA Cup.
