One of the players in Gerard Pique’s Kings League was seen hitting the ‘SIUUU’ celebration in FC Barcelona’s home stadium, Camp Nou. The ‘SIUUU’ celebration was immortalized by Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players to play the game, Ronaldo created the celebration during his tenure at Real Madrid.

The Kings League is a seven-a-side football competition created and led by former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique. It differs from the rules of traditional football as there are bizarre rules such as secret wildcards, and sprinting to the ball instead of kicking-off in a bid to make the game even more thrilling and entertaining.

Thanks to former ties with the club, Pique was able to host the final of the competition in Barcelona’s famous home ground, Camp Nou. After regular time resulted in a draw, the tie went to penalties. It was then a player hit Cristiano Ronaldo‘s iconic celebration to celebrate the conversion of a penalty.

‘Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi‘ has been one of football’s most heated debates in the past decade and a half. The debate became even fierier when Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid, Messi and FC Barcelona’s arch-rivals.

Since his move, Ronaldo has scored multiple goals in the El Clasico at Camp Nou and has produced multiple iconic celebrations in doing so. Some of them include him taking off his shirt to show it off to the home crowd, the ‘calma calma’, and the evergreen ‘SIUUU’.

Both the talismanic forwards have since moved away from Spain. Messi is currently contracted to PSG, with Cristiano moving to the middle east with Al Nassr recently.
