Liverpool boss voiced his thoughts over Chelsea as they smashed every possible record by spending well over €500 million in the January Transfer window. Jurgen Klopp claimed Chelsea’s signings are a ‘joke’ after they signed Enzo Fernandez for a whopping €115 million, breaking the British transfer record fee. Klopp claimed that these were ‘huge numbers’ by The Blues.

“I say nothing without my lawyer. No, it’s a joke. I don’t know, I don’t understand this part of the business, like what can you do and what can’t you do.” Klopp said mockingly. “How much, it’s a big number in the last two windows obviously. Okay, the players they brought in, I didn’t think once, ‘Why did they do that?” He further stated. “They’re all good players, really good players so from that point of view, congratulations.

Klopp claimed that it was not possible according to the current FFP, as he slammed Chelsea for spending way too much in their last two windows. “It’s not up to me to explain how it works. Hopefully, you all know exactly how it works and it’s fine.” He added.

Liverpool ridden with injury ahead of Premier League clash

Klopp gives tactical advice to Jota as he is being subbed on.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Portuguese forward Diogo Jota will be returning for training. He is close to making full recovery since a calf injury back in October 2022. Liverpool stars Roberto Firmino, Virgil van Dijk, and Luis Diaz, who all were out of action due to injury will be training alongside Jota. However they will be absent from the Liverpool squad as they face Wolves in their upcoming League clash on Saturday.

“Generally it’s looking better. The boys are training,” Liverpool boss was confident on the injured players’ return. “Bobby’s getting closer obviously, very good. Luis is running now. That will take a few weeks still but he’s now out on the pitch running which is really good.” Klopp gave an update about Roberto Firmino and Luis Diaz.

“Partnership, it’s not cool. Always the changes, you don’t want to have that. These changes you want to make when you rotate, when we bring them together and everyone is in the perfect moment.” Klopp gave his opinion on having fixed partnership. Liverpool will be anxious to claim 3 points in their next match, as they currently sit on the 9th position in the league.
