However, things all went wrong when two Inter Miami player grazed past each other causing both of them to fall in a comedic fashion, losing their potential chance to attack on the break. Messi is reportedly suffering from a hamstring injury with some sources speculating that he could be out for the remainder of the season effectively harming Inter Miami’s chance of making the playoffs this season.

David Beckham‘s side is currently 4 points from the playoff spot with one game in hand. With only 4 games left for the club this season, fans will be curious to see how Inter Miami perform without their main talisman, Lionel Messi.

Inter Miami suffers without Lionel Messi

Since the Argentine joined in July, Inter Miami has never lost a game where the little magician has featured. Inter was on a terrible run before his arrival winning only 5 out of their last 22 matches played only scoring a handful of goals putting them dead last in the league.

Now with sources claiming Lionel Messi is out for the foreseeable future, Inter Miami will have to prove to their fans that they are capable of winning games without their main talisman. The club already lost a huge game after losing to Houston Dynamos in the US Open Cup which saw the Argentine in the stands.

With two draws in the MLS since his injury, Inter Miami will have to dig deeper if they want to make playoffs this season as the club is currently out of contention sitting in 13th place.
