Lawyer reveals Dani Alves’ new defense strategy to fight s***al assault case in court
What will be the defence strategy of Dani Alves after his arrest
The Dani Alves case has taken a new turn according to reports. The Brazilian was charged with sexually assaulting a woman in Barcelona’s nightclub. Alves was held in custody in January and has been in prison since. A trial is still pending regarding the case and risks facing up to 12 years in prison if proven guilty over the alleged charges.
However, his lawyer has demanded not to consider the results of the psychological test that the judge ordered on the victim of the alleged sexual assault as the private expert who was bound to conduct the test has done the test himself which would give the victim an advantage to influence the test. The lawyer also claims to have recorded evidence regarding the issue.
“The prosecution does not want the expert to be there because it can influence the victim and a double revictimization of the victim can occur. It would no longer only be a forensic psychologist ordered by the court. The judge decided that this test should be done with the psychologist of Alves, but not to record it,” says Jesus Albalat, a journalist from ‘El Periódico’.
However, the case may now favor the former Barcelona full-back as the lawyer has filed an appeal which has diffused the situation for now and is still waiting for a fair trial in court.

The Red Devils are having one of their best seasons and look ready to win some silverware after what seems like a long time. However, Mason Greenwood’s potential return to the squad could disrupt the team morale which could harm the club. The club has launched an internal investigation despite charges being dropped of alleged r**pe.
Mason Greenwood was considered a promising young talent and was taking the Premier League by storm. Greenwood had scored 32 career goals for United by the time he turned 20 in October and scored 5 goals in 18 matches in the 2021-22 season after which he was arrested on assault charges.
