Lionel Messi leaves PSG training after being unhappy with manager
According to reports, Lionel Messi left PSG training on Tuesday after being disappointed with what Christophe Galtier was offering. Expectations were high from the coach after leading Lille to the league title against all odds in the 2020-21 season.
The World Cup winner has been in stellar form this season after scoring 18 goals and providing 13 assists in 31 matches in all competitions. Nevertheless, his contributions couldn’t help with PSG’s European aspirations after crashing out of the Champions League and further sparked rumors about a potential move this summer.
PSG failed to progress beyond the Round of 16 in the UCL within the player’s two seasons at the club despite having a star-studded trio along with the likes of Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe. He is unhappy with the coach’s tactics and the Frenchman’s inability to utilize the full potential of the PSG squad.
PSG will face Rennes tomorrow in Ligue 1 and the availability of the Argentine is still in doubt. They will hope not to squander the chances of a League title which is the only trophy that they can potentially win this season.

Messi’s contract with PSG ends in the summer and although renewal talks have been progressing, a final agreement has not yet been put in place. A free transfer to the Middle East could, therefore, be a viable option for Messi.
