Macarena Lemos, a model in Argentina, has claimed that she was romantically involved with Lionel Messi. The Argentine alleges that the two had dated before the Paris Saint-Germain star met his wife, Antonela Roccuzo.

The relationship is said to have taken place when Messi was 18 years old. The Argentine forward would have been in Barcelona during that time. However, the shocking part of the claim is that Lemos would be 14 at that time. The four-year age gap would have implications for the footballer and could hurt the Argentine’s reputation.

These rumours are not backed by any major reliable source. The Argentine has dated childhood friend Antonela Rocuzzo since 2008, three years after the alleged relationship occurred. Should these rumours prove to be true, Lionel Messi could be in serious danger and could face “statutory rape” allegations.

Paris Saint-Germain have tightened their grip on a title defence after winning against Angers SCO. The French Giants ran out 2-1 victors at the Stade Raymond Kopa as they go nine points clear at the top.

Two first-half goals from Kylian M’bappe secured the victory for the French side. Sada Thioub’s 87th-minute goal proved to be but a consolation for the home side, who slumped to their second consecutive defeat. PSG have now won their last three matches, including a top-of-the-table clash against RC Lens.

The Parisian club are now eight points clear at the top, and Olympique Marseille have overtaken Lens to be the leaders’ closest challengers. However, Les Phocéens are unlikely to catch up to PSG, who just need another four wins from their remaining six fixtures to guarantee them the title.
