Antonio Raillo, a defender and captain for Mallorca who has previously engaged in physical altercations with Vinicius Jr., did not hold back in his comments on Thursday. For most of the previous two seasons, Vinicius Junior has been the “bad boy” of La Liga, enraging rival players and supporters with his antics while representing Real Madrid.

When questioned about his connection with Vinicius during an appearance on DAZN’s Twitch channel on Wednesday, Raillo initially said he wouldn’t say anything before making a few comments directed at the Brazilian, “I refer to what I said last time; I’m not going to say much more about it,” Raillo said. “If tomorrow I have to set an example for my children, maybe I would put Modric or Benzema, but I could never use Vinicius.” The 31-year-old probably holds a grudge after Real Madrid defeated Mallorca 4–1 earlier this season. Raillo made some debatable assertions after that game. “Vinicius? Let him dance, but he insults and belittles his colleagues,” Raillo stated after that game. “Then when he’s labelled provocative, he uses the joker of racism.”

That is undoubtedly a harsh comment to say, especially regarding a 22-year-old. One can only hope Vinicius will use this as further fuel for the match at the weekend against Mallorca. Real Madrid’s match versus Valencia comes first, of course. It is reasonable to conclude that Vinicius has the support of every Real Madrid supporter at this trying time. Not only has he battled with form, but because he is one of the team’s faces, the spotlight has been on him a lot more.

According to Rayo Vallecano president Raul Martin Presa, Fran Garcia will join Real Madrid this summer. Garcia, 23, was a highly regarded, promising Madrid youngster who joined Rayo in July 2021. Since then, he has risen to the top of La Liga’s offensive full-backs and thrived there.

When the defender received attention from Bayer Leverkusen and the Premier League during this transfer window, Madrid, who held a preferential option on the player, proceeded to secure a trade for €5 million. Martin Presa announced on Tuesday’s Cadena COPE radio, “We’ve reached an agreement with Madrid, Fran Garcia will go at the end of the season. Madrid has behaved like gentlemen.” “They could have done it, especially with the situation they have with Ferland Mendy. After Mendy’s unfortunate injury a week ago, they could have chosen to do it now. But we spoke to them and out of respect to Rayo, to not hurt Rayo, they’ve behaved like gentlemen,” he added.

Mendy is Madrid’s first-choice left-back. However, some have criticized him recently for his performances. David Alaba and Nacho can also fill in if needed. According to sources who spoke to ESPN, Garcia had assured Rayo manager Andoni Iraola that he would be there until June. Garcia has started every game for Rayo in La Liga this season after making 34 league starts in the previous one.
