Marcus Rashford reportedly ‘begged’ Jadon Sancho to apologize to Erik ten Hag amidst chaotic fall out

Manchester United stars, Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw have urged Jadon Sancho to apologize to current manager Erik ten Hag. The two have had a public row since the 3-1 defeat at the Emirates.

The English International is currently barred from all senior-team facilities and eats and trains with the academy players instead. This is due to Sancho publicly calling out his manager on social media after Erik told media outlets that the player was not meeting the standards in training at the club. Jadon Sancho, however, believes he was made the ‘scapegoat’ due to United’s poor result and publicly stated that he just wants to enjoy his football. The tweet has since then been deleted but it’s effects have not.

Many Manchester United stars have urged the winger to apologize to the Dutchman. While they sympathise with Jadon, they also believe that he crossed a line with the tweet and that such conversations should be held behind closed doors. Sources from inside the club have reported, “There is an easy way to resolve this situation, which is for Jadon to say sorry to the manager.” Further adding, “Something has to give – and it won’t be the manager.” At the moment Jadon Sancho has not yet apologized.

Erik ten Hag will have to spend an extended period of time without Jadon as Manchester United will face Brentford in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, 26th of September.

Jadon Sancho has not impressed at Manchester United

The £73 million winger has not been able to adjust to Manchester as the player is yet to prove his worth to the Old Trafford Crowd. Jadon Sancho had impressed immensely at German club, Borussia Dortmund, racking up an incredible amount of goals and assists on the left wing. Sancho since then, however, has not been able to replicate his form from Germany.

Jadon Sancho has 12 goals and 6 assists for Manchester United in two years. Currently his third, Jadon seems to be out of the squad for an extended period after falling out with manager, Erik ten Hag. Fans all believe that the player is talented and can come good as he is still at a very young age of 23, but for now, he has not ‘WOWED’ the United crowd. His poor performances last season had him left out of the England World Cup squad that went to Qatar which resulted in a sabbatical leave that left him unavailable for several games last season.

After his public row with Erik, the player is now ready to move on from the mess he created. However, as his contract runs till 2026 and is currently on £350,000 per week, teams may find that player is not worth the financial trouble.
