Nearly 200,000 fans sign a petition demanding a rematch of 2022 FIFA World Cup final
The city of Paris continues to moan about the decisions Szymon Marciniak has made leading to Argentina's first two goals.

There has been a petition filed for the 2022 FIFA World Cup final to be replayed. This petition was created by some French fans with nearly 200,000 fans already signing the form, as the supporters are not at all satisfied and happy with the decisions taken by the referee during the match.
As Buenos Aires is celebrating their victory and the whole of Argentina has been lighted to welcome the golden trophy home after 36 long years, on the other hand, the city of Paris continues to moan about the decisions Szymon Marciniak has made leading to Argentina’s first two goals.
The fans claim that the first goal where Angel Di Maria was fouled by Ousmane Dembele should never have been a penalty. The fans have also claimed, “the refereeing was totally sold” as some of them debate about Kylian Mbappe being fouled at one end of the pitch by Cristian Romero during Argentina’s second goal.

Was Argentina the rightful winner of the 2022 FIFA World Cup?

As the majority of the fans around the world continue to celebrate Argentina’s and Lionel Messi’s dream of finally winning the FIFA World Cup, some of them are still debating whether they deserved to win or not. Some of the rumors are still revolving around the World Cup being rigged and that Argentina was decided as the winner even before the tournament kicked off.
Well, the final was nothing short of exciting with both the teams fighting till their last breath and the match could only be decided with a penalty shootout in the end. With videos still revolving around the Internet that Aregtina’s third goal should definitely not stand two substitutes ran onto the pitch before Messi’s strike had crossed the line.

While the debate can continue and the complaints can keep on piling but it will always be written in the history books as Argentina’s World Cup triumph. And only time will tell if the final rematch petition would really stand.
