Testimony from another girl has come to the fore recently that claimed that Daniel Alves tried to assault her in the same way he tried to do it with the 23-year-old whistleblower. The woman claims that it happened in the same location, 8 years ago. The new information was shared through a TikTok video, which has now been deleted.
She explained what happened in a night out in Barcelona with her friends. “With everything that has happened recently with the Dani Alves issue, quite a few of my close people have been surprised when I told them that when I was 18 I had a similar experience with the same person, in the same place,” said the woman.
“I was 18, I was in Sutton, in the same nightclub and the pattern was initially the same: he invited me and my friend to his private room and so on. We totally passed it up, we went our own way. But what amazes me is that this person has been doing the same thing, with the same pattern, for years, in the same place, for years, because mine was eight years ago“, she said.
She does not accuse Alves of assault, rather, it is a comment on a situation that is seemingly very similar to the one she experienced.
The 39-year-old was accused of sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman in Barcelona’s Sutton nightclub, a famous spot for celebrities. Alves was held in custody on January 20, and has been in prison since. The Brazilian is also moving closer to a divorce with his wife, Joana Sainz, who is reportedly fuming at her husband for his unfaithful behaviour.
According to the complainant, Alves forced her to sit on top of his lap, slapped her, and attempted to force himself upon the victim in a private room in the Sutton nightclub. Security cameras captured Alves brushing past the sobbing victim post the incident. This video footage is considered crucial since it elaborates on the details of the events.
The victim immediately contacted the nightclub’s security, who informed the Barcelona police. However, by the time the cops arrived, Alves had fled from the club.

What has Daniel Alves done in prison?
According to reports from inside the prison, he attempts to go unnoticed. He is gracious with his cellmates and avoids any kind of misbehaviour. “Alves helps where he can. He buys food for people, helps, and invites,” told a prisoner. “He doesn’t talk much, but what he says is that he has not abused anyone or hit anyone. And that, if the girl had not wanted to, he wouldn’t have wanted to do it,” the prisoner said.
Daniel Alves risks up to 10 years in prison if he is convicted. The accusation is “an offense of sexual assault with penetration”, according to article 179 of the Criminal Code.
