There were rumors a few days ago that Real Madrid is again interested in signing PSG star Kylian Mbappe despite being snubbed by him in the summer transfer window. But now the President has ruled away all possibilities of a new bid for him despite his heroics in the FIFA World Cup 2022.

There were even reports that Real Madrid was preparing a €1 billion bid for Kylian Mbappe but President Florentino Perez said, “I’m not even paying attention to the rumors. We had a good summer of rumors and gossip and all of that is pointless now. Signing him makes no sense for us now, our attackers are developing in a great way.”

He added, “Vinicius and Rodrygo are two formidable players. I see them both as potential Ballon D’Or winners, we have to see how they keep developing. We’re only focusing on the players we have now and we’re doing just fine. Camavinga, Valverde, Militao, and Tchoauemeni are young and have a promising future ahead of them.”

How long has Real Madrid been interested in signing Kylian Mbappe?

Kylian Mbappe has been linked with Real Madrid for a long time now and he was very close to joining the Spanish club this summer. They didn’t materialize as Mbappe signed a lucrative contract renewal at PSG. Madrid was one of the many clubs affected by the move on and off the field.

Mbappe has faced Real Madrid a total of 6 times so far in the UEFA Champions League and has always hurt them whenever possible. Last season Mbappe was the soul of PSG and was hurting them in the round of 16 knockout phases scoring two goals in both legs. Zidane targeted Mbappe during his tenure, but the club failed to persuade him to join despite maintaining a great relationship with him.

After his illustrious performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final, clubs have again turned their heads toward him. According to some reports, Real Madrid is preparing a multi-million-dollar deal to sign him.
