“That is His Method”: Dani Carvajal Believes Spain’s Supremo Luis Enrique Doesn’t Have an Anti-Real Madrid Agenda

Dani Carvajal and Luis Enrique

It was not long ago when Spain’s national team coach, Luis Enrique, shocked the fans and decided not to include any player from Real Madrid in the side for Euro 2020. Interestingly, it happened after a long time that no member of the Los Blancos could make it to Spanish national team for any tournament.

Even though Real Madrid’s legendary player, Sergio Ramos, was supposed to lead the team, he got injured and even their right-back, Dani Carvajal, missed the tournament due to an injury. Keeping them aside, Enrique didn’t pick up Isco, Marco Asensio, or even Lucas Vasquez in his team.

It was after this incident when many fans and supporters of Real Madrid criticised Enrique’s decision and started bashing him on social media. One of the reasons for the same was that because he has been the former manager of Real Madrid’s arch-rival, FC Barcelona, according to them, he clearly followed an anti-Madrid agenda.

Dani Carvajal feels Luis Enrique has no bias or hatred against Real Madrid players

In an exclusive interview to Marca, Carvajal highlighted that Enrique is a fair and just man and doesn’t have any sort of bias or hatred against Real Madrid players. He stated that the former Barcelona coach did what he felt was the best for the team and that has been his method.

“When I have heard that opinion I try to explain that nothing could be further from the truth. The coach tries to call up the players he thinks are going to help achieve what he wants, whatever team they play for. That is his method, his philosophy and plan. I thank him [for always picking me], and for what he said about me at his press conference. I hope things continue this way,” said Carvajal in the interview.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 is approaching really soon. Will Luis Enrique give chance to Dani Carvajal and other Real Madrid players to represent Spain in the World Cup next year?
