After Cristiano Ronaldo‘s fierce interview with Piers Morgan in which he critically spoke about the Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney for his criticism of the player. The Englishman has now hit back in a way at the Portuguese for his remarks on himself. The player gave a controversial answer to a good question.

The Englishman was asked by the journalist on the match live, about the popular Start one, Bench one, and Drop one. She named Lionel Messi, Harry Kane, and Cristiano Ronaldo based on their current form. The Englishman said, “I’d have to start Messi, I’d bench Kane, and leave Ronaldo out… He’s not playing for his club.”

Both the players go way back to 2006-07 sharing the goal partnerships and contributions, which has now turned into haste between the two, the interview did much harm to the Portuguese’s image and his relationship with his current club and players around it.

The Englishman has turned down the heat coming his way for not being physically fit and the comparison that the Portuguese star made with him. Wayne Rooney has been extra critical of the United man since his arrival and named the decision as a bad one for the club’s future.

Which is true.” Said the Manchester United player while differentiating between himself and the Englishman claiming that the player has lost his fitness while CR7 is at it all the time, and shall go down as the most Athletic figure in the history of the sport.
