WATCH: FC Barcelona Youngster Pedri Imitates Xavi’s Insane 2013 Skill

FC Barcelona continue their amazing run under Xavi and look to be getting better with every passing game. The Catalans have registered a very dominating 4-0 win against Athletic Bilbao last night as Xavi’s boys proved to be too good for Marcelino. With this win, the Catalans are very close to securing a Champions League spot for themselves, something that sounded unreal just a couple of months back.

The Spanish giants scored four goals, each one different from the other and yet the highlight went to the 19-year old Pedri for his amazing skill to get past Mikel Balenziaga. The 19-year-old was once again influential in midfield as he stunned the crowd with a gorgeous backheeled nutmeg in the second half. Unsurprisingly, the moment of magic from Pedri quickly had the Catalan fans singing his name.

The Culés have started comparisons between Pedri and Barca legends like Iniesta, Xavi and were reminiscent of a very similar trick pulled off by the manager Xavi back in 2013 when the FC Barcelona great against Valencia.

Dani Alves heaps praise on ‘amazing’ Pedri

The 19-year-old midfielder has impressed fans with his performance in all aspects of the game and yet continues to amaze even the most experienced eyes, like veteran full-back Dani Alves. The Brazil international commented on the performance from Pedri following FC Barcelona’s 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao.

“Through luck, I have been with people of that level, but he is one who is most assimilated to those,” Alves said

“I have had to luck to be able to live with them. We are seeing a player who is amazing.

“it’s incredible to play with them.”

FC Barcelona coach Xavi also joined in with the Pedri admiration after the match, comparing him to Andres Iniesta and also saying, “If we’re talking about pure talent, Pedri is the best in the world.”

FC Barcelona are as close they have been to being their absolute best and the excitement among fans is the highest in recent months. In their match, the Catalan giants go away at Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero to face Elche in La liga.
