Formula 1 and NBA Announce Content and Promotion Partnership at US Grand Prix 2021

Not many fans would’ve have seen the spectacle before but it seems the NBA and Formula 1 have something in store for all the sporting enthusiasts. The Formula 1 and NBA have announced content and promotion partnership to celebrate the return of action on the race track as well as the 75th edition of the league together at US Grand Prix 2021. Making it the first of its kind, with has never been done before. 

As the NBA 2021-22 season marks a special occasion for hoop fans, the 75th edition of the toughest basketball league in the world has decided to collaborate with arguably the leading motorsport series in the world as stars from the court as well as from the race track will all be within the borders of the States in the coming week. The US Grand Prix finally returns after been cancelled due to hiatus caused by Covid-19 last year and what better way to do it. 

Formula 1 and NBA Announce Content and Promotion Partnership 

To celebrate the return of Formula 1 in US and the NBA’s 75th edition, the authorities have decided to deck out 2022 cars in some-team inspired liveries. Now to being everybody on the same page, on October 21, ESPN will host Formula 1 drivers as they battle it out off the track in a free throw challenge at an NBA 75th Anniversary-themed basketball half-court within the Circuit of the Americas paddock.

Furthermore, NBA legends will be onsite to meet the drivers and provide shooting tips as they compete to make the freest throws out of 10, with $20,000 up for grabs to be donated to the winner’s charity of choice.

The NBA season commenced on October 19 with Milwaukee Bucks locking horns against Brooklyn Nets in the curtain raiser. Whereas the US Grand Prix 2021 will be held at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin from October 22to October 24.
