“Just fortunate we have the talent like with Lewis Hamilton,” Christian Horner expects more competition in 2022

With the new season of Formula One upon us, Christian Horner is excited to see how the results would pan out for the 2022 season as this year will not only include the rivalry between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen but the red bull boss also thinks that the others drivers of the respective teams might also get involved.

The team’s expectations have increased after they managed to put together a car in 2021 which was able to match up to and also beat the speed of Mercedes on track. With strong Honda engines and years of hard work, the team was finally able to beat Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes in 2021 after 8 long years.

The Red Bull racing team had last won a World Champion title in 2013 and have not managed to beat Mercedes in Constructors championship yet. But with the new technical regulations and changes, the team is confident in putting up a tough fight and winning not only the World Champion title but also the constructors with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez as their driver line-up for the 2022 season.

Christian Horner expects to have more competition this season

With the young drivers showcasing their talents, rising and putting forth a tough competition last year, Horner confirms to have expected a broader competition rather than just the competition revolving around Max and Hamilton.

“We are just fortunate we have the talent like with Lewis, the most successful guy of all time, with these great youngsters coming through like Max, Lando Norris, George Russell, Charles Leclerc,” said Horner while he revealed a list of some of the filed competitors in an interview.

“There are some great new talent out there,” said Christian Horner who does not exclude names from teams such as Ferrari and McLaren as he thinks they would bring in a tough competition this season. The 2022 season will be filled with a lot of drama, chaos and one of the most unpredictable wins.
