Max Verstappen has helped Red Bull to return to the front of the grid after a period of Mercedes dominating Formula 1. Max Verstappen was still somewhat a rookie but he passed the test with aplomb. The Dutchman had to fend off attacks from the seven time world champion who was fighting for his life to win that historic eighth world championship and overtaking the legend Michael Schumacher in that list.

Everyone expected Max Verstappen to be a future world champion but nobody expected him to do it so early in his career. His story has been inspirational for every rookie who is making that jump from Formula 2 to Formula 1. The current world champion did that with an inferior car as Mercedes was way ahead but Max Verstappen got the best out of that Red Bull and put Lewis Hamilton in a really uncomfortable situation.

When you win the championship, you get certain privileges, one of them being having a choice to run with Number 1 on your car. The story of Max Verstappen has inspired a lot of people all around the world. It’s just the general audience. It has includes world champions from different sport. The world champion has been impressed with Dutch’s maiden title winning season that he has decided to take a leaf from his book and run with Number 1 on his title defending car.

“Gotz won his ‘maiden crown’ on his return to the DTM last year, beating Red Bull Racing junior driver Liam Lawson and Audi driver Kelvin van der Linde.”

“The German driver drove with the number 4 on his car in 2021, but chose to race with the number 1 this year after switching from Haupt Racing to Winward Racing.”

“In doing so, he was partly inspired by Verstappen’s choice.” As reported by gpblog.

Max Verstappen has definitely made a start to his career which most drivers can only dream of and no one can say he doesn’t deserve it. The Dutchman, in the process has definitely turned heads across the racing community and DTM World champion Maximilian Gotz is an example of that.
