Max Verstappen taunts Lewis Hamilton over Mercedes car with brutal comparison

The 2021 World Championship hasn’t only been about the banter on the race tracks but more importantly being ahead on the mental games. On the same note, Max Verstappen has taken a dig at the seven-time world championship Lewis Hamilton by stating that he would have already won the World Championship, if he was driving a Mercedes at this point. 

To those who are not aware, Lewis Hamilton has won the last three races to take the championship to the wire but ace Dutchman, Max Verstappen claims if he had been in the Mercedes car this season, he would have wrapped proceedings up a long time ago.

Asked if he believes he’s the better driver, Verstappen told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, ‘I think you should be like that if you’re a Formula 1 driver. So, I say yes, absolutely! But I don’t need to hear that from anyone else. I don’t need that recognition.

‘I find it much more important what I think myself, and what the people who are close to me think. ‘If I had been in his car, the season would have been decided long ago.’ 

Having said that, Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton have given their all in the 2021 season and it would surely be a heartbreak for the driver who ends up short. The only thing which is keenly awaited by race fans all over the world is, the drama which unfold on Sunday. Will the season finale end in the steward’s room? Or will one of these two title protagonists emerge victorious.
