Valtteri Bottas, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell
Keeping aside all conjecture, when Mercedes announced George Russell to replace Valtteri Bottas at Mercedes since the 2022 season, a lot of race fans speculated that the young British driver could give the reignign world champion tough days. And more importantly would want to become the face of the team, given Russell’s potential. But as Hamilton bid an emotional farewell to his best ever teammate, it does feel like the seven-time world champion is not bothered by his new, young and energetic teammate to be.
On a recent occasion when Hamilton was asked questioned upon his future teammate George Russell, the former indicated that there is no certainty at all that he would endure the same relationship with him as what he had with Nico Rosberg and those were all rumors. Moreover, he stated that according to him George Russell is indeed very fast and will be interesting to see how the duo pans out.
What was Opinionated by Lewis Hamilton on George Russell?
Lewis Hamilton, who infamously clashed with Nico Rosberg last decade, says it’s not a certainty that he will suffer a similar fate as he grapples with the much younger George Russell.
“History has shown it can work and that it can’t,” said the 36-year-old as quoted by Grandpx.news.
“It’s a difficult one to navigate through but we have experienced it and learnt from it and should be well set moving forwards.”
As for whether he is expecting Russell to be a faster challenge than Bottas, Hamilton answered, “All I know is that George is very fast. Whether he will be faster than Valtteri Bottas, I have no idea.”
