Lando Norris mugged during 2020 Euro Final
The final of the 2020 Euro football competition was scheduled in London’s Wembley stadium on 11 July 2021. The event was also marred by crowd disorder, incidents of violence before and after the game and widespread hooliganism by English supporters. Footage from two hours before the final showed a few ticketless fans fighting with stewards to force their way into the stadium.
The match was attended by many high profile people including Lando Norris who was about to race his home race, the British Gp in Silverstone the following weekend. While heading back to his car after the game, Norris was mugged and his $100,000 custom Richard Mille watch was stolen. The incident was reported to the Police and the stolen watch hasn’t been found.
Although Norris confirmed he was unarmed, the incident left him shaken. “The difficult thing is the shock of realising it can happen to anyone including yourself when you never think it will happen to you, or it’s a very slim chance,” he said. “The shock that you can still be vulnerable in any position, it’s a scary thing and I don’t wish it on anyone.”

The statement read that “Lando was unharmed but he is understandably shaken. The team is supporting Lando and we are sure that racing fans will join us in wishing him all the best for the British Grand Prix this weekend.”
“I’ve been better, I can say that,” said Norris. “I’m not in perfect condition, I’m not going to lie, some work to do mentally. Of course I talk about that a lot, mental health. Mental strength is very important. I’ve not been sleeping that great and so on. So it’s not ideal and I’m feeling a bit sore.
