Williams Boss Josh Capito Warns Hamilton About George Russell: “He is strong enough”

Lewis Hamilton and George Russell
The end of the current Formula 1 season means that a new grid is all set for the 2022 season. With considerable changes happening on the grid, the most notable one would be Valtteri Bottas’ move to Alfa Romeo, while the young George Russell takes his place at Mercedes.
Russell is expected to take on Lewis Hamilton from the beginning of the season itself, giving him a stiff fight for the top driver. Hamilton already has tough competition from the young drivers, including Max Verstappen, who is challenging him for the title this year. The Williams team boss Josh Capito seems to think Hamilton is in for a tough time.
“George Russell is really excellent,” Williams Boss Capito Warns Hamilton

According to gpblog, Capito seems to think that, “Yes, he can challenge Hamilton. I have worked with many drivers, but George is really excellent. Also how he can get a team behind him is impressive.” With George just being 23, Capito says he is extremely professional already. “Very important is how he deals with pressure. The bigger the pressure, the stronger he gets.”
Williams will be wishing goodbye to their driver Russell at the end of this season, and Capito made it apparent that he will miss the Brit. “George is mentally, driving-wise and technically strong enough to put pressure on Lewis. That’s what he wants too. Of course I am sad that he is leaving.”
Yet Capito is pleased for the youngster, seeing all the talent in him. “On the other hand I’m also happy for him, because he will be driving for an absolute top team.”
