Pierre Gasly is a 25-year-old French racing driver, is currently competing in Formula One under AlphaTauri alongside Yuki Tsunoda, Japanese racing driver. Pierre Gasly is probably one of the youngest drivers to face a huge rollercoaster ride in his F1 journey.

Pierre drove for the then sister team, Toro Rosso of Red bull. Seeing his impeccable and brilliant performance, Pierre was promoted to Red bull beside Max Verstappen but it did not last for too long. Due to intense pressure and constant stress, Pierre Gasly was not able to deliver, which led to his demotion, back to his team mid-2019 season and was replaced by Alex Albon.

Ever since the mid-season incident, Pierre has never failed to deliver and has left people star-struck. Jonathan Wheatley, British Formula One mechanic and team manager who currently works as the sporting director at the Red Bull Racing Formula One team has been keeping track of Pierre Gasly’s progress and has assured that Pierre’s hard work has not gone unnoticed at Red Bull.

In an interview, Jonathan Wheatley said, “I think, honestly, Pierre is ready to make the next step up now.”

Alex Albon was the next victim to Red Bull’s pressure. Even though Alex helped Max Verstappen, Alex too lasted a season-and –a-half before he lost his seat to an experienced driver, Sergio Perez.

“We learned a huge number of things from Alex. We learned how to help support a younger driver who’s having a difficult time,” Wheatley said. Admitting their lack of patience with their junior drivers.

Complimenting Alex Albon, Wheatley said that Alex was an extraordinary young man, fantastic driver and a seriously fast driver, emphasising on his speed and driving skills. He then compares Pierre Gasly with Alex Albon whose confidence was shaken due to lack of patience amongst team towards the young drivers.

Wheatley presumes that Max Verstappen might have also been through the same amount of stress and pressure while he joined Red bull, driving alongside their then star driver, Daniel Ricciardo.
