After the Abu Dhabi controversy and mishap, Lewis Hamilton had been off the gird. The seven-time World Champion did not interact with anyone and refused to be in limelight. Without any official comments and with regarding to the changes pertaining to the 2022 season. Fans, Pundits and even team principals had interesting insights to share about Lewis’s departure.

As the months passed by, the rumors’ around his return to f1 did not seem to fade away. But on 5th February, 2021, Lewis Hamilton posted a picture comprising of him in the Grand Canyon with the caption, “I’ve been gone, now I’m back” all over his social media handles was not an explicit statement about his future but people were happy to see Lewis Hamilton.

A subsequent tweet from Mercedes inferred the seven-time world champions return to the gird for the 2022 season. Even though Hamilton said over the team radio that he believed the result, which saw Max Verstappen take victory and the title, had been “manipulated” – and Mercedes were furious at race director Michael Masi’s handling of the grand prix’s closing stages.

Stefano Domenicali believes Lewis Hamilton is totally focused on his objective

Stefano Domenicali is an Italian manager and the current CEO of the Formula One group. The 56-year-old boss was one of the first people to react at Lewis Hamilton’s post, “I saw the last picture was a light of positivity on his face and his gesture,” said the Italian.

“There was a total respect on his choice to be on silent mode, I think he will be fully charged for the start of the season,” said Stefano, completing understanding Lewis’ actions regarding the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

“Lewis has in front of him a possibility to be an eight-time World Champion. So, I’m sure he is totally focused on these objectives because this year there will be so many new things, so many variables, that will allow this championship to be so attractive,” said Stefano regarding the most important asset, Lewis Hamilton who is not only important in f1 but for the world.

We are only days and hours away from the pre-season launch event scheduled on Friday by Mercedes on February 18 from hearing off Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.
