“Are you still timing?” LIV Golfer Bryson DeChambeau SNAPS back at heckler for timing his play 2nd day in row at US Open
On the final day of the US Open, LIV Golfer Bryson DeChambeau was heckled by a spectator over his slow passage of play. It was not once but twice that the PGA-defector faced heckling during the tournament.

The recently concluded US Open turned out to be a spectacular event to watch. The tournament hosted at the Los Angeles Country Club (LACC) saw the emergence of Wyndham Clark as the unlikely winner of the competition. However, the event also witnessed LIV golfer Bryson DeChambeau losing his cool and snapping at a fan for heckling him.
The 29-year-old was spotted struggling at the golf course. He recently came under tremendous heat from the fans regarding his comments about the shock PGA-LIV merger. In a video that has now gone viral, DeChambeau was left irritated by a spectator for recording his passage of play. This incident is reported to have taken place on the final day of the tour.
The American international has previously faced similar heckling over his slow pace of play. His limit reached a breaking point when the fan, whose face is not seen, continued to record him, while the others had already left. “Are you still timing, cause they just walked off the green buddy,” DeChambeau was heard responding to this action from the unidentified spectator.
Furthermore, it was reported by USA Today that the heckler called out the PGA-Tour defector on his decision to join the Saudi-backed league despite the recent merger. Apparently, the heckler was wearing a wig to conceal his appearance, but it is believed to be the same heckler from Thursday’s match-up. This is two time in a row that DeChambeau became the victim of heckling.
Bryson DeChambeau hopes to be part of Ryder Cup team following PGA-LIV merger

In recent times, Bryson DeChambeau has risen as a fierce competitor. The 2020 US Open winner has been climbing the steps of success ever since he joined the LIV league. He though has been subjected to various trolls with this slow passage of play, just like Patrick Cantlay. A unique take like golf needs some attention, but DeChambeau perhaps took too long.
DeChambeau started the tournament in great form and was in the top eight, going into Sunday’s final day play. Unfortunately for him, the day did not play out as he might have planned. He finished the day four-under 74, earning him a top-20 finish. Despite this failure, he hopes to be part of the Ryder Cup team, following the PGA-LIV merger.
The debate about whether LIV players deserved to be part of the American Ryder Cup team rose after Brooks Koepka, a LIV Golf member won the PGA Championship. Before this event, LIV players were heavily criticized for joining the Saudi-backed tour. However, the shock merger between the two tours has somewhat changed the landscape regarding the biennial tournament.
“I think (the door) is lot more open now,” DeChambeau said a few days back. He clarified how important it is to play for the country and hopes captain Zach Johnson picks the best players. According to several reports, Koepka has certainly booked his spot on the team. Whether DeChambeau and his fellow LIV players will be selected remains to be seen. The next PGA event is the Travelers Championships, which kicks off on 22nd June.
