The LIV Golf Series has managed to create its fair share of drama since inception. After facing heavy suspensions and sanctions from the PGA Tour, the LIV Series found only one viable way to take action. Led by Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau, the LIV Series decided to file an anti-trust lawsuit against the Tour, signaling an all out war.

While the lawsuit started with 11 golfers initially, Carlos Ortiz was the first to drop out of the lawsuit. Following that, Pat Perez, Abraham Ancer and Jason Kokrak also proceeded to remove their names from the list, dwindling it down to 8 golfers. Now, it seems that Phil Mickelson might also be calling it a day on the lawsuit.

He has not yet decided what he will actually do, but said that he is thinking about taking the next step. However, the only reason he might stay is to compensate for monetary damage. “The only reason for me to stay in is (monetary) damages, which I don’t really want or need anything,” said Mickelson according to SI.com.

” I do think it’s important that the players have the right to play when and where they want, when and where they qualify for. And now that LIV is a part of it, that will be accomplished if and when they win,” said Mickelson, speaking about the current situation at hand.

“Now that LIV is involved, it’s not necessary for me to be involved,’’ Mickelson said at Rich Harvest Farms, where the fourth event of the LIV Series is all set to be held. “I currently still am. I don’t know what I’m going to do, really.” The involvement of the LIV Golf series might actually however, make bit a strong case- and an interesting battle with the PGA Tour.
