“Greg’s got to leave”- Tiger Woods CALLS OUT Greg Norman in another STAUNCH effort against LIV Golf
Tiger Woods | Greg Norman
Tiger Woods has once again talked about LIV Golf and the PGA Tour saga, terming it an ugly turn of events. He believes that the prolonged civil war that has sprung with the Saudi- backed multi-million dollar breakaway circuit has the potential to severely damage the sport of golf. The foremost step for the solution, according to the world-class golfer at this stage is for Greg Norman to step down from his position at LIV Golf.
In a recent press conference, Tiger Woods addressed the building enmity and the ongoing controversy with displeasure. On the other hand, Greg Norman has had a rather impressive role in holding the fort strong for LIV Golf’s continuation and acceptance including a visit to Washington, lobbying for his case.
Greg John Norman is an Australian retired golf professional and entrepreneur who has been accorded 20 PGA Tournament victories. His association with the newly arrived LIV Golf series is seen as a threat to the golf world. The litigation against LIV and the countersuit by the PGA might develop into negotiations, forcing both parties to come to the table.
Tiger Woods believes that LIV Golf and the PGA Tour can develop a sense of understanding
Tiger Woods made his views clear on LIV Golf in an exclusive interview with WION. He believes – “The LIV golf PGA tour issue was not handled well. There is nothing wrong in having competition and adding to the ecosystem of golf”. LIV Golf vs PGA Tour has been the hottest topic for the whole season in the world of golf and the controversies between them all summer have made the matters worse.
Tiger said, “It has become pretty ugly and it is not good for the game of golf”, about the situation that is prevailing between the two premier golfing circuits at the moment. Woods when asked about what the probable steps for the solution could be, stated – “I think Greg’s got to leave and then we can eventually, hopefully, have a stay between the two lawsuits and figure something out”. Looks like Tiger is getting a sense that LIV Golf is here to stay.
Tiger says that it was LIV golf’s initiated aggression towards the PGA Tour that led to souring of relations betweeen the two circuits. “They sued us first,” said Woods. Both the golfing circuits might have to come together and figure their issues out, but at the moment Tiger remains firm on his opinion of LIV and PGA not existing together.
