Tiger Woods has fathomed name, fame, and money by showcasing his talent and skills over an illustrious career spanning multiple decades. With 15 majors to his name, Tiger’s records speak for themselves on the field of golf. Many talented golfers, some even more talented than Tiger himself, have come and gone, but none achieved even a fraction of Tiger’s legacy.
It’s Tiger’s mentality that sets him apart from the lot as he himself has conveyed on various occasions. Recently, Woods shared another one of the weird habits that he picked up back in the day courtesy of his father. Tiger’s father has always been a role model and iron pillar for him throughout his career irrespective of his success or failure.
Earl Woods was a navy seal in the US Army who raised Tiger Woods and has been his mentor for life. Tiger has been quite vocal about the kind of relationship he shares with his father. He also mentioned how his father has helped him develop quite the personality which makes him stand out.

Have you seen Tiger Woods carrying an umbrella? Tiger in an interview discussed a curious habit about himself and how he does not carry an umbrella, no matter how much it rains. You might wonder – ahhh!!! someone else might be carrying it for him but that’s not exactly the case, and neither does a rain jacket come to rescue Tiger.
This habit of Tiger is because of his dad and what he taught him about playing in the rain. Woods recalled – “I don’t mind being wet because pops used to say, ‘Once you’re wet, you’re wet! Deal with it. You only get wet once”. Taking his advice to heart, Woods understood what his dad was speaking about and from where his advice was coming. He was referring to Earl’s navy background and what actually is facing difficulties all about, no matter the situation.
Tiger prefers facing the rain, however hard, and still competes at the top of his abilities. Although, the caddie does face the brunt of this situation as he has to make sure that the golfer’s equipment is dry before his shot. Carrying more than a dozen gloves into tournaments if raining, Tiger’s skills and talent do not decline irrespective of the situation.
