“Thought he was all about ‘free speech'”: Twitter mocks Donald Trump as ‘quiet please’ signs banned from LIV Golf Event

Donald Trump, LIV Golf
The LIV Golf Series has caused its fair share of drama since its inception. The third event of the Saudi backed series has caught even more attention- as ex-President Donald Trump has decided to host it on his course at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.
It has angered the victims and families who survived 9/11, as well as those fighting for justice for the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi– both of which have been tied to Saudi Arabia. At the third event, Jason Selvig and Davram from The Good Liars brought a sign that said ‘Quiet please’. However, when one read the fine text, it elaborated further- saying ‘Quiet Please, about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi ordered by the Saudi Royal Family.’ This sign was not allowed inside the premises for obvious reasons, and twitter had a lot to say about it.
Donald Trump is facing exceeding backlash after inviting Saudis into his backyard

This third event in particular is causing a lot of backlash against Trump. Despite the backlash however, the series is still going strong, as the Saudi backing leaves the golfers and the tour unfazed. People were quick to criticise this event, saying that they were brushing the problems under the rug.
People were satisfied that someone was actively protesting against the series, since it seems to be required. The public is disappointed in the golfers, who could have rejected the deal- and Trump, for hosting the controversial series.
