GTA 5 is one of the largest games of all time. It still generates over a billion dollars in revenue each year. This is largely due to GTA Online, GTA 5’s multiplayer mode. Shark Card revenues alone are enough for Rockstar to continue supporting the game even after almost 9 years. Rockstar Games recently announced a standalone version of GTA Online. This version is rumoured to be free to play.
