The NASCAR cup series team will hit the track running at Kansas Speedway this weekend for the 2nd round of the 2022 playoffs. All the 16 drivers to have entered the playoff grid will be hoping to secure a win at Kansas which they missed out on to Erik Jones, who is not part of the playoffs, last weekend at Darlington.

Christopher Bell, the No:20 Toyota Camry driver of Joe Gibbs Racing, will have more than just one thing to look after in Kansas as he will have to drive both for the win as well as secure himself from possible revenge from Trackhouse Racing’s Mexican driver Daniel Suarez.

Christopher Bell got himself into this peculiar situation after she caused the No:99 car to slam the wall in Darlington towards the end of stage two which cost the later stage points along with a few amounts of pace due to the damages.

Daniel Suarez later acknowledged that he will have his revenge on him sooner saying “Whenever I need, I’m going to get him back,”. Now Christopher Bell has come forth expressing his thoughts on the Trackhousee driver’s words during his media interaction at Kansas ahead of qualifying.

Christopher Bell pointed out that the crash was a non-intentional mistake from him and added that he didn’t think anything about it. He added that he only came to understand his opponent was upset after he spoke out and added that he did reach out to him regarding the issue.

Just a non-intentional mistake from me to slide up and crowd him into the wall. Honestly, I didn’t think anything of it at the time and had no idea that he was upset until he spoke out. Once I learned he was upset, I did reach out and texted him,” Christopher Bell said.

Christopher Bell acknowledged that he apologized to the Mexican but he told me that he will get back at him. He added that he might need to watch his back in the coming races as he expects the Trackhouse driver to drive like the way he did against him at Darlington.

“I apologized for getting into him and he let me know that he was going to race me the same way I raced him going forward I just have to make sure to watch my back whenever he’s around me,” Christopher Bell added.
