IPL 2020: Bravo to missout from IPL, informs CEO Kasi Vishwanath; Missed Raina, Harbhajan but have to respect decisions

It has been a disappointing season for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 so far. One of the most successful franchises in the IPL is struggling to qualify for the playoff of the tournament.
CSK have been handed another blow in IPL 2020 with all-rounder Dwayne Bravo missing out on the remainder of the season due to an injury. Ever since the start of the 13th season, Bravo was suffering from a groin injury which now forces him to end the season abruptly.
CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan confirmed that Bravo will fly back in a day or two and won’t feature for the remaining four games of CSK.
“No, Bravo isn’t playing any more part this time round and the groin injury has ruled him out. He will be flying back in a day or two,” the CEO was quoted by ANI.
Bravo played only 6 games for CSK taking 6 wickets and scoring 7 runs for the team.

Raina and Harbhajan vital part of CSK – Vishwanath
CSK have already missed the likes of veterans Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh who decided not to participate due to personal reasons.
When asked about the missing of their two star players, Vishwanathan said Raina and Harbhajan’s presence is missed but have to respect their decisions.
“Undoubtedly Raina and Harbhajan are both vital cogs in the CSK unit and they were missed. But you have to respect personal decisions and that is how we function irrespective of whether it is a senior or junior player,” he explained
Harbhajan’s absence meant more opportunities to Karn Sharma and Piyush Chawla both of which could not leave a mark. On the other hand, Raina’s place was tried to fill by Kedar Jhadav and youngsters but it also did not go as planned.
CSK are currently sitting at the bottom of the points table with 3 wins and 7 losses. Their hopes of qualifying in the playoffs are low as they have to win the rest of the four matches and depend on results to go in their favor.
