The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) pulled off a herculean task of successfully conducting the 13th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) during these tough times. The tournament looked cancelled at one stage due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic across the globe.

However, the members of BCCI showed that where there is a will, there is a way. The Board shifted the base to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to execute a smooth IPL 2020. Following the tournament, social media hailed the efforts of the organising committee to conduct a hassle-free IPL edition.

Indian team Head Coach Ravi Shastri also took to Twitter to appreciate the Board members and the medical team. The 58-year-old lauded the BCCI secretary Jay Shah, IPL chairman Brijesh Patel and the Interim CEO of the Board, Hemang Amin

Ravi Shastri wrote: “Take a BOW @JayShah, Brijesh Patel, @hemangamin and the medical staff of the @BCCI for pulling off the impossible and making it a Dream @IPL #IPL2020 #IPLfinal”

Surprisingly, he oddly missed out on congratulating the BCCI President Sourav Ganguly in his tweet. His tweet caught the eyes of Twitterati as the fans blasted at Shastri for not mentioning the former Indian captain.
