11 amazing years with Mumbai Indians for Pollard
Kieron Pollard said that it is quite an achievement for a guy from a small town to have achieved this record. Pollard is one of the few players in the IPL to have played for a single team.
Pollard said during the mid-game interview, “Over the years, guys moving on from team to team, but I’ve been with the same side since 11 years. 150 games for a guy from a small town – it’s a big achievement for me.”
Mumbai Indian battling first put on a good show and made 195 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Skipper Rohit Sharma top-scored the innings with 80 quickfire runs. Pollard was confident of team total and said it was a good batting display by Rohit Sharma.
“Can’t judge the conditions really with only 7 balls to face. I think it was a good effort. After we lost de Kock early, Surya and Rohit went on. Again Rohit showed his class and I think 195, in the end, was a good total“, Pollard said.
Mumbai Indians lost their opening game against Chennai Super Kings in the first game of IPL 2020. However, Mumbai would be looking to fight back and bring in the winning momentum with the side.
