Suryakumar Yadav played a superb knock of 79 runs for Mumbai Indians to defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 5 wickets. The battle of the league leaders in Dream11 IPL 2020 was an evenly matched tussle between the two giants but MI came out as the winners.

Yadav has been in fine form in IPL 2020 as well as in the domestic circuit. However, he was denied a place in the Indian team in any of the three formats of the game for India’s tour of Australia. Many people including Harbhajan Singh and Dilip Vengsarkar spoke out in favor of the 30-year old Mumbai batsman’s inclusion.

MI batsman Suryakumar showcased his batting skills with his 79 runs unbeaten knock against Skipper Virat Kohli’s RCB. He hit 10 fours and 3 sixes in the process and now has 362 runs in IPL 2020.

Yadav hit the winning runs for MI as they won the game with 5 balls to spare. After the win, Yadav made a unique gesture to the dressing room. He pointed the MI camp a reaction of ‘Mai hoo na’ hinting at his disappointment on exclusion from the Indian team.

Standing MI skipper Kieron Pollard spoke highly of the MI batsman and highlighted the importance of Yadav to the Mumbai camp. “Surya was disappointed for not being able to don the India blue. I’m sure he’s very close to doing that,” Pollard said in the post-match press conference.
