Chennai Super Kings continue with their poor run at the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday. MS Dhoni and co. registered their fifth loss in seven matches of IPL 2020 during the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. CSK lost the game by 37 runs while chasing 170 runs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.

RCB captain Virat Kohli opted to bat first after winning the toss. Despite losing quick wickets at the top, Kohli batted till the end of the innings. With a brilliant knock of 90* runs, the skipper helped his team post a winning total of 169/4 on the board after their 20 overs.

Chennai Super Kings once lacked intent while chasing a decent target and ended up playing too many dot deliveries. The asking rate kept soaring and they fell 37 runs short of the target in the end. RCB bowlers impressed everyone after an inspiring bowling effort in the match.

CSK fans took to social media to express their emotions on yet another dismal performance by their franchise. Netizens also yearned for a comeback from star batsman Suresh Raina in the side. The left-hander had earlier pulled out from the tournament citing personal reasons to stay with his family back in India. Raina, their vice-captain is one of the leading run-getters in this tournament. The southpaw has also consistently won matches for Chennai in the past.

Raina has been one of the most crucial members of the Chennai-based franchise since the inaugural IPL edition. The absence of ‘Mr IPL’ from the side also hampers the team balance. CSK now stands at a very delicate situation where a couple of more defeats will end their chances of qualifying for the playoffs in IPL 2020.
