After 56 matches and 46 days, we are down to the first qualifier of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Table-toppers Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on second-placed Delhi Capitals (DC) on November 5 (Thursday) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. The clash will kickstart from the usual timings, i.e 7:30 PM (IST) onwards. The Mumbai-based franchise emerged victorious during both the encounters that took place between the two sides.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians played like the best team of the tournament to finish at the pole position in the charts. But they suffered an embarrassing one-sided defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad during the last league game of the season. 

The good news for them is that their regular skipper Rohit Sharma came back in the previous match to take the captaincy role. Mumbai’s record against Delhi gives them a slight edge in this utmost important game. Moreover, the lethal duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult will be back after serving a one-day rest.

Delhi Capitals (DC)

Despite losing four consecutive matches in the second half of the tournament, Shreyas Iyer’s men finished at the second spot in the Points Table. DC registered a brilliant victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their ultimate league game of IPL 2020.

Shreyas Iyer and co finished with eight wins in 14 matches in the 13th edition of IPL. The Delhi-based franchise made several changes in their lineup during the last game and will stick to that combination in this clash as well.
