Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal shared an image of himself with Kings XI Punjab‘s (KXIP) Chris Gayle. RCB played KXIP yesterday and the duo hogged the limelight during the course of the match. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, RCB scored 171 runs on a tricky Sharjah pitch.

On his return to the playing XI for the first time in this year’s IPL, Gayle struck a fluent half-century and so did captain KL Rahul. After reaching his half-century, Gayle was seen pointing towards ‘The Boss’ sign on his bat. After the match ended, the West Indian was asked about the gesture and he explained saying, “All I was saying, put some respect on the name (by pointing to his bat sticker). That’s all.”

In the end there were a few nervy moments as in the last over bowled by Chahal with just two runs to get, KXIP took it till the last ball to win. Following the match, Chahal took to social media to share a picture with his former RCB teammate and good friend Gayle.

‘Timon and Pumbaa reunite’

Chahal posted an image of him hugging the ‘Universe Boss’ from behind prior to the start of the RCB vs. KXIP match. He captioned it saying, “Timon & pumbaa reunites” (sic) along with a hashtag #hakunamatata. Timon and Pumbaa are animated characters (meerkat and warthog respectively) from the Lion King franchise.

RCB face Rajasthan Royals at Dubai on Saturday while KXIP face Mumbai Indians at the same stadium on Sunday.
