IPL 2020: Watch Video of Rahul Tewatia smashing 5 sixes off Sheldon Cottrell, turns the game around
Rahul Tewatia
Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Rahul Tewatia became an overnight star after a heroic knock from him in the game against Kings XI Punjab. He stayed at the crease till the ultimate over to help his team in a successful run-chase against a mammoth total from the opposition.
Tewatia played a match-winning knock of 53 runs off just 31 deliveries before getting out in the final over. But his knock always didn’t look like this as he was earlier struggling to make a connection between the bat and ball. He was trying hard to hit the ball but failed each time. At one stage, he was batting at a personal score of eight runs in 19 deliveries in a run-chase of 224 in a 20-over clash.
Promoted to bat at number 4 as a pinch-hitter, Tewatia took the full advantage off the 18th over bowled by Sheldon Cottrell. These six deliveries turned out to be a game-changer for the RR camp and suddenly made Tewatia look like a hero from zero. The 27-year old took the ‘Salute Man’ for five cleaners as he scored 30 runs in that one over.

Samson and Uthappa kept me motivated: Tewatia
In the post-match ceremony, Rahul Tewatia revealed how Sanju Samson and Robin Uthappa backed him from the other end.
“Sanju and Robin bhai gave me confidence. Sanju kept telling me when I was batting with him that if I can get one, then I can keep hitting them. He asked me not to panic. After that Robin bhai came, he gave me a lot of confidence. After I hit that one six, he told me now to keep hitting,” told Tewatia.
