“It’s called greed “- Tyson Fury react to Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte’s step aside deal falling through

Tyson Fury may have to fight Dillian Whyte now and he is working on it, but his outrage over the frustration of not being able to fight Oleksandr Usyk will stay with him for a long time, and he feels both Whyte and Usyk’s next opponent, Anthony Joshua in a rematch are to be blamed for that.

Basically, Fury wanted to fight Usyk because Fury being the WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion wanted to achieve the rest of the belts in boxing’s heavyweight division which are WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles, which are held by Usyk himself. But since Usyk took the belts by defeating the former WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO titleholder Anthony Joshua, the latter played his rematch clause and therefore is going to fight Usyk to try to claim his belts back.

Now it was recently reported by boxing insider for ESPN Mike Coppinger that both Joshua and Whyte were involved in a step-aside deal so that Fury and Usyk can fight in the undisputed title fight, meaning whoever wins between Fury and Usyk becomes the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. But because the deal fell apart at the last moment, the fight couldn’t happen.

Fury, therefore, took to Twitter to react to the revelation of the failure of the deal and said indicating a message to both Whyte and Joshua: “It’s called greed.” Fury by this probably means that the deal only fell apart because both Whyte and Joshua couldn’t get enough money out of the deal to step aside and therefore were seeking more cash.
