The Sunday night of WrestleMania 42 had only one women’s match on the card. It saw Jade Cargill defending the WWE women’s title against Rhea Ripley. ‘The Eradicator’ had gone through the wrath of the Elimination Chamber to earn this title shot at the Grandest Stage of Them All, and she made it count. Ripley had the lingering problem of B-Fab and Michin at ringside along with Cargill at hand.
Deep into the matchup, ‘The Storm’ engaged the referee to allow her girls to take some cheap shots on Ripley, who was lying outside the ring. Just when Fab and Michin went for it, the referee caught them and started admonishing the two. It didn’t take long for Mami’s best friend Iyo Sky to pull up and take out both Fab and Michin to even the odds for Ripley.
A distracted Cargill got clocked with a headbutt from the Aussie, who went for the Riptide, but Cargill countered it with a big boot. The former Judgment Day member then escaped the Jaded finishing maneuver to finally hit the Riptide on Cargill and win the title.
Iyo Sky hopped in and celebrated with ‘Mami’ in a moment of sheer delight for the fans of their alliance known as Rhiyo. Sky missed out on having a match at WrestleMania this year but at least got to be a part of the event in some capacity. Sky has unfinished business with Asuka, with the two of them rumored for a singles match as a blowoff to their rivalry.
On the other hand, with Rhea Ripley holding gold once again, she would now be part of the SmackDown roster, given that the WWE women’s title is exclusive to that brand. It would be interesting to see where that leaves Sky. A future matchup between her and Ripley would be money.
Danhausen shared his WrestleMania debut moment with John Cena
The host of WrestleMania 42, John Cena, was involved in a hilarious segment with The Miz, Kit Wilson, and Danhausen just before the main event match. Danhausen arrived in some fashion in a coffin-shaped car and accompanying him was an army of mini Danhausens. After getting in the ring, Danhausen turned his attention to Cena once he greeted the crowd.

‘The Cenation Leader’ got a bit tensed seeing Danhausen approach him. However, the latter revealed himself to be a fan of Cena, and they even shook hands. Miz was fed up of the theatrics going on in the ring and told Cena to not shake hands with Danhausen, who was there in the ring with two GOATs (Cena and Miz) and a soon-to-be-GOAT Kit Wilson and was turning WrestleMania into a circus.
Wilson called the mini Danhausens toxic and shoved one of them to the mat. Danhausen asked one of those pint-sized creatures to get Wilson, and the latter got punched in his crotch. After the rest of the mini Danhausens ganged up on Wilson, The Miz tried to clear them out but got punched low by Danhausen himself.
The former AEW star sought Cena’s permission to do his “You Can’t See Me” taunt on ‘The A-Lister’, which Danhausen combined with his “You are Cursed” catchphrase to hit the five-knuckle shuffle on Miz. The latter got carted away on mini Danhausens who dropped Miz midway on the entrance ramp after hearing a smoke bomb going off. It was supposed to make Danhausen disappear, who failed to do so and then proceeded to hide under the ring, causing genuine laughter all around.
It made Cena laugh as well who quipped that being retired has been an awesome experience. Apart from this segment, ‘The Cenation Leader’ also announced the combined WrestleMania 42 attendance of 106,072 fans. The second night of WrestleMania pulled in 55,265 attendees, while its previous night had a figure of 50,816.
