Stephanie McMahon got immortalized into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame this Friday night. Once she got on the stage to deliver her speech, she started off by talking about her daughters one by one before moving on to her mother, Linda McMahon, who was in attendance. ‘Steph’ said that it should’ve truthfully been her mom’s turn for going into the WWE HOF last night.

‘Steph’ noted how Linda was the first CEO of WWE. ‘The Billion Dollar Princess’ then namedropped her father and former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, whose mention received a huge pop from the fans. The former chairwoman of WWE stated that she wouldn’t have been standing on that pedestal if it wasn’t for her parents.

Vince’s mention even elicited “Thank you, Vince” chants from the crowd. The lawsuit-facing former WWE executive has faded to obscurity since getting dragged by Janel Grant over a heinous suit of misconduct that was lodged back in January 2024. WWE has purposely avoided any mention of its erstwhile head honcho in recent years with subtle on-screen references here and there.

Take, for instance, Cody Rhodes referencing Vince McMahon during a segment with Stephanie McMahon three weeks ago on Raw in Madison Square Garden. It was followed by CM Punk dumping on the 80-year-old in his pipe bomb 2.0, where Punk berated McMahon as a weird old man who treated him like a dog for years.

That being said, hearing ‘Steph’ explicitly name her father during her HOF induction speech wasn’t completely unexpected but still surreal. She also thanked her brother Shane McMahon, her sister-in-law, Marissa, and her nephews. ‘Shane-O-Mac’ and his family weren’t in attendance, which led some fans to speculate that he might’ve fallen out with the rest of the household.

‘Steph’ saying that no matter what has happened or will happen in life, she’ll always love Shane, his wife, and her nephews sort of gave weight to those rumors. Apart from that, McMahon talked about being literally born into the business of pro wrestling and working for WWE in any capacity being her dream job.

She had already gotten ahold of the intricacies of the business before even graduating from high school. ‘Steph’ reminisced about her dad, Bruce Prichard, and Pat Patterson writing shows in the McMahon house itself, and she’d just look at them in an attempt to learn as much as she possibly could.

It felt unreal to her that she was getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame after all those years she had spent in this business. She felt honored to be inducted alongside the likes of AJ Styles, Dennis Rodman, The Demolition, Bad News Brown, and Sid Vicious.

After thanking nearly everyone that has impacted her life in some way or the other, she turned her attention to her in-laws. Stephanie would also name a ton of WWE Superstars and her groomsmen.

Stephanie McMahon on how she started talking with Triple H and never looked back

After having expressed her gratitude for the WWE talent, WWE President Nick Khan, and TKO executives viz. Ari Emanuel and Mark Shapiro, Stephanie McMahon finally talked about the man of her dreams—Paul “Triple H” Levesque. McMahon recalled early impressions of ‘The Game’, who used to pull up to producer’s meetings in a black leather jacket, chomping gum, putting his feet up, and rocking back in his chair.

‘The Queen of Queens’ said that there still was something irresistible about the 14-time world champion. ‘Steph’ revealed that ‘Hunter’ would flick little balled-up pieces of paper at her that no one else seemed to notice. And one night after a Raw taping in Nashville, McMahon was sitting in her office, and Levesque pulled up to ask her if he could call her to discuss business.

And they never stopped talking after that point on. McMahon called Triple H her hero, her inspiration, and the man of her dreams. Setting the record straight, the 49-year-old businesswoman revealed that the ‘King of Kings’ flirted with her first.

In the conclusion of her speech, McMahon stressed that her entire life has been lived through WWE. After reaffirming that this place will forever be her home, McMahon cut an entire “Stephanie McMahon heel promo” to accept the WWE Hall of Fame honor as she was the one getting inducted in it.
