“Vote for Amanda”- Jake Paul calls on his fans to rally behind Amanda Serrano for the ESPN Ringside Awards
Amanda Serrano
Amanda Serrano who is currently signed with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions receives his backing in being voted as ‘ESPN’s Ringside Awards – Women’s Fighter of the Year’ when he took to Twitter to ask his fans to “Vote for Amanda“.
She was nominated alongside Katie Taylor, Mikaela Mayer, and Alycia Baumgardner for the award and looks to be in the lead thanks to Jake Paul as she now has more than triple the votes than her closest competitor Katie Taylor. More than 70% have voted for Serrano and it’s obviously due to Paul‘s influence.
The Puerto Rican fighter recently fought in the co-main event of Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 where she beat Miriam Gutierrez via unanimous decision. She has been a boxer for more than a decade but it has only been until recently that people have taken notice of ‘The Real Deal’.
Now that she has signed up with Jake’s promotions, she has garnered a huge amount of payday from her last two fights and now has become a millionaire.
Jake Paul taking a hiatus from boxing to promote Amanda Serrano’s career
With all the callouts and disses Jake makes in the media, he is in no rush to come back to the boxing ring and he looks to be taking a seven-month hiatus from the sport in order to promote his colleague’s career.
Paul supposedly wants to set up a boxing superfight between undisputed lightweight world champion Katie Taylor and unified featherweight champion Serrano.
In a recent episode in his brother Logan Paul’s podcast, Impaulsive he said, “She’s put in thousands and hundreds of hours in the gym and she deserves the big payday that she’s going to get. She deserves to be able to retire from boxing and not work again. That hasn’t been the case for women’s boxing, they’ve been underpaid and taken advantage of.”
Amanda Serrano back in an interview in 2018 with Sporting News said, “Oh, it sucks, it’s like day and night, black and white. I’m still fighting to get the pay I deserve.”
But ever since she signed with Most Valuable Promotions, she is getting the pay that she deserves and looks to set her name in stone.
